N K Ramachandran
Chairman

A self-motivated, dynamic, confident person and a man who distinguishes himself by ‘thinking outside the boundaries’, N. K. Ramachandran Menon is the chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Middle East. Indian Educational School, Kuwait, Private International English School, Abu Dhabi, Modern International School, Muscat and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Bahrain Kendra is directly under his chairmanship.

Sooraj Ramchandran
Vice – Chairman

Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran is spearheading the group middle east expansion and initiatives of the group especially initiatives to launch pre schools which will function as feeder schools to all the Bhavans schools in the Middle East in the future as well as initiatives to start programmes for student training for distance and higher education, professional courses and special education. Programmes for teacher training are also part of future plans. A Chartered Accountant by profession with his practice based out of India, Sooraj did his initial six years of his schooling in Indian School Kuwait and the later six years in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Elamakara in Cochin, Kerala. Sooraj, who is an avid reader and a sports enthusiast, has represented his school and college teams in Cricket, Football and various Track and Field events. Presently, Sooraj stays in Abu Dhabi with his wife, Vineetha, who is a Doctor and their two children.

Ms. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran
Director

Ms. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran is a Chartered Accountant by profession with 15+ years of qualified experience. She is a senior partner in a well-established firm based in Cochin with Branches in Kollam, Trivandrum, Bangalore, and Chennai. She did her schooling in Indian School Kuwait till Standard VIII and then moved on to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Elamakkkara, Cochin for the Secondary and Senior Secondary schooling. She is married to Rajesh Ramachandran who is also a practicing chartered accountant and the founder partner of the firm she practices in. They have 3 children, one pursuing graduation in Pune and the other two studying in Al Ain. She is an avid reader and music enthusiast and pursues dance, photography, and writing when time permits.

Mr. Suresh Balakrishnan
Principal

 (M A B Ed English, M A Political Science, SET English, SET Political Science) started his career as a teacher in 1996 and had been working in various schools in Kerala. He joined Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait in 2008 and had played various roles like those of a class teacher, Head of the Department of English, Vice Principal (CBSEi), Senior Vice Principal etc.  He has recently cleared the Leadership License Test of the Ministry of Education (UAE). He has also secured diploma in School Management and Leadership from the Harward Business School. He is a certified teacher trainer graduated from the Regional Institute of English, Bangalore.

He has conducted several workshops and simulation classes based on Constructivism, Collaborative Learning, Classroom Management, Activity Oriented Classes, Problem and Inquiry Based Learning, Value Based Education, Skill Based Learning, Pressure Management, Better Handwriting etc. to mention a few. He is a Toastmaster in good standing and has been the Vice President Education and the President of Toastmasters club in various terms. He holds abreast the philosophy that every child by birth is unique and gifted, and proper upbringing – health, safety and education- is their birthright.

Honoring his contributions in the field of child education, Indian Educational School (Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan), Kuwait had bestowed up on him the BEST PERFORMER AWARD in 2013. He joined the Private International English School as its Vice Principal in 2019 and was promoted and appointed as the Principal with effect from April 2022.

Ms. Padmaja Menon
Vice Principal

Ms. Padmaja Menon M. Sc. B. Ed., PG Diploma in Leadership, Diploma in Teaching L D children

A passionate educator with substantial years of experience in the field of education. The love for children and for mathematics has moulded her into an academician.

She firmly believes that with inclusion and mainstreaming the inert potential of the student can be identified and nurtured. She is of the view that students should be equipped to enjoy the aesthetics in Mathematics. This can be well achieved if a learner is alert and is keen to observe patterns. Pattern observation in a given problem leads to   Problem Solving.  Her deep insight into various aspects of the process of learning has carved a niche for her to adorn an integral part of any institution she belongs to.

She received the Best Paper Award for the paper she presented on teaching mathematics in the year 2005.  Best teacher award by Mylapore Academy. She has attended the CBSE spot evaluation camp for more than 20 years. Ms. Padmaja had been the Centre Superintendent for the conduct of CBSE EXAMINATION IN THE YEAR 2015-16.

She joined Private International English School in the year 2016 as Head of the Department of Mathematics.  Currently she is promoted and appointed as the Vice-Principal with effect from April 2022.

Ms. Mini Ramesh
Vice Principal

A passionate and committed teacher with a vision to mould a dynamic set of youth armed with progressive thoughts and compassionate approach, Ms. Mini is capable of accomplishing the concept “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (one world, one family).Ms. Mini has excellent interpersonal skills coupled with leadership and empowerment skills to set and achieve common goals.

The testimonials received from the schools she worked are an endorsement of her dedication to the noble cause of teaching,
able administration, and versatility as a language and literature teacher. Being an educator, she believes that learning is
not imparting knowledge, rather, showing the path and thence to keep exploring. Ms. Mini is an avid reader and a seasoned
traveller. Her stay in different locations and countries has helped her accept the ethos and cultural diversities of humanity and grow up to be a cosmopolitan citizen. She believes in enjoying life with all its simplicities and niceties that it offers.
She joined Private International English School in the year 2017 as PGT in English, and later was promoted as the Head of the Department. Currently she is promoted and appointed as the Vice-Principal with effect from April 2022.
Her motto in life is “All experience is an arch wherethro’ gleams that untravell’d world whose margin forever and forever
when one moves”, and one must stay “strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield”.
