A self-motivated, dynamic, confident person and a man who distinguishes himself by ‘thinking outside the boundaries’, N. K. Ramachandran Menon is the chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Middle East. Indian Educational School, Kuwait, Private International English School, Abu Dhabi, Modern International School, Muscat and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Bahrain Kendra is directly under his chairmanship.
Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran is spearheading the group middle east expansion and initiatives of the group especially initiatives to launch pre schools which will function as feeder schools to all the Bhavans schools in the Middle East in the future as well as initiatives to start programmes for student training for distance and higher education, professional courses and special education. Programmes for teacher training are also part of future plans. A Chartered Accountant by profession with his practice based out of India, Sooraj did his initial six years of his schooling in Indian School Kuwait and the later six years in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Elamakara in Cochin, Kerala. Sooraj, who is an avid reader and a sports enthusiast, has represented his school and college teams in Cricket, Football and various Track and Field events. Presently, Sooraj stays in Abu Dhabi with his wife, Vineetha, who is a Doctor and their two children.
After her Masters Degree, joined as an English Lecturer in a private college . When she took the job, she knew that it would be a brief stop before landing a job at a Residential School where she developed the passion to be a school Teacher. Love for children made her give them a Home Away from Home. Establishing a chemistry of trust between the children and her was the foundation behind her passion and dedication which has taken her to great heights. In December 2010, Mrs. Girija Baiju joined as the principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Abu Dhabi. She worked as Principal in various schools like Bhavan’s Public School, Qatar (February 2010- November 2010), International Indian School, UAE (April 2002- January 2010), Al Rashid Indian School, Kuwait (August 1999- March 2002), Dayapuram Senior Secondary School, India ( June 1993- July 1999). She was also elected as the UAE Convenor of the Council of CBSE affiliated schools in the Gulf, appointed as Centre Superintendent by CBSE to conduct secondary and senior secondary board exams, and also appointed as the Inspector by the CBSE board to inspect some of the schools in India for their affiliation.
Mr. K. T. Nandakumar (M. Sc Geography, M. Sc Applied Psychology, B. Ed., PGDGC and DSM), presently, the Vice Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Abu Dhabi, is a man of character, integrity, good values, an attitude of gratitude, self-interested and positively motivated educationist who stands dedicated and committed to the high quality education. He took over the charge of Vice Principal in April 2012. He joined Bhavan’s, Abu Dhabi, as a Geography teacher and the school counselling psychologist on September 2010. He is one of the founder teachers of Bhavan’s Abu Dhabi. He has also functioned as a Teacher Coordinator and coordinated the activities of all departments in the school.
