A self-motivated, dynamic, confident person and a man who distinguishes himself by ‘thinking outside the boundaries’, N. K. Ramachandran Menon is the chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan – Middle East. Indian Educational School, Kuwait, Private International English School, Abu Dhabi, Modern International School, Muscat and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Bahrain Kendra is directly under his chairmanship.

Sooraj Ramachandran
Vice – Chairman

Mr. Sooraj Ramachandran is spearheading the group middle east expansion and initiatives of the group especially initiatives to launch pre schools which will function as feeder schools to all the Bhavans schools in the Middle East in the future as well as initiatives to start programmes for student training for distance and higher education, professional courses and special education. Programmes for teacher training are also part of future plans. A Chartered Accountant by profession with his practice based out of India, Sooraj did his initial six years of his schooling in Indian School Kuwait and the later six years in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Elamakara in Cochin, Kerala. Sooraj, who is an avid reader and a sports enthusiast, has represented his school and college teams in Cricket, Football and various Track and Field events. Presently, Sooraj stays in Abu Dhabi with his wife, Vineetha, who is a Doctor and their two children.

Ms. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran

Ms. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran is a Chartered Accountant by profession with 15+ years of qualified experience. She is a senior partner in a well-established firm based in Cochin with Branches in Kollam, Trivandrum, Bangalore, and Chennai. She did her schooling in Indian School Kuwait till Standard VIII and then moved on to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Elamakkkara, Cochin for the Secondary and Senior Secondary schooling. She is married to Rajesh Ramachandran who is also a practicing chartered accountant and the founder partner of the firm she practices in. They have 3 children, one pursuing graduation in Pune and the other two studying in Al Ain. She is an avid reader and music enthusiast and pursues dance, photography, and writing when time permits.

K. T. Nandakumar

Dr. K. T. Nandakumar is a self-interested and positively motivated educationist who stands dedicated and committed to high-quality education. He joined as the Principal of Private International English School, Abu Dhabi (Bhavans Abu Dhabi) on 25th March 2025. Before the current assignment, he was the principal of Bhavans Pearl Wisdom School, Al Ain, from 2019 till March 2025. He was the Vice Principal of Private International English School (Bhavans Abu Dhabi) from 2012 to 2019. He has also functioned as the faculty of Psychology for senior secondary students at Bhavans Abu Dhabi. He joined Bhavan’s, Abu Dhabi, as a Geography teacher and the school counselling psychologist in September 2010. He is one of the founder teachers of Bhavan’s Abu Dhabi.

He has an excellent academic record, which includes Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Applied Psychology, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Geography, PhD in Psychology, B.Ed., P.G. Diploma in Guidance and Counselling (PGDGC), and a Diploma in School Management (DSM). He has over 24 years of teaching experience in premier institutions in India and the UAE.

He has been a certified International Affiliate in the American Psychological Association (APA) since 2013. He is also a certified associate of Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) –UK for Teacher Effectiveness Enhancement Programme and has conducted a number of teacher training programmes on a variety of topics in different schools in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Sharjah, RAK, and Ajman in the UAE, and in the schools in Bahrain, Oman, and India including one day professional development sessions for the B.Ed students of Lovely Professional University (LPU)– Jalandhar, Punjab.

He has successfully completed the training program on Strategic leadership from the Indian Institute of Management -Ahmedabad (IIM-A) in 2023 and a professional development training from the Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur (IIM-N) in 2025. He is a certified Resource Person of

the CBSE and has successfully completed the certification course organized by the Indian Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), Govt. of India, and the Training Unit of the CBSE.

Dr.Kumar has received number of Awards including prestigious Indian President’s Award for his contribution in the field of social service through Scouting, Special appreciation certificate from USO ( United Schools Organization – an Educational agency for United Nations) for his contribution in the activities of USO and the Best coordinator Award from OISCA- INTERNATIONAL(Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-INTERNATIONAL) South India Chapter for his substantial contribution in the field of environmental activities.

Being an educator and a motivator, he believes that intellectual education influences the head and values-based education influences the heart. Hence, true education is training of both the head and the heart. He also believes that knowledge is not a real power. Knowledge is information. It is potential power, and it becomes power only when it is acted upon.
